Abstract It is acknowledged that many of the problems related to urban congestion can be solved through diffusion automated vehicles capable not only replacing drivers, but also receiving information from infrastructure. In this article, effects driverless cars (level 3–4 automation) and Green Light Optimal Speed Advisory (GLOSA) system, a particular kind Cooperative – Intelligent Transport System (C-ITS), will evaluated at an signalized intersection set micro-simulations.
